THE CORKSCREW INN in Vancouver B.C.
For helixophiles what greater pleasure is there than going to bed with images of corkscrews around you. Well, you will find that and more at the Corkscrew Inn in beautiful Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada.
Owned and run by Wayne Meadows and Sal Robinson, it has a great corkscrew pedigree. Wayne is a voracious collector and he has amassed an amazing collection containing many rare and sought-after pieces. In addition,
Wayne is probably the foremost expert on bar corkscrews, of which he has the world's largest collection. Wayne is the author of the definitive book on bar corkscrews.
Sally has been co-producing the Quarterly Worme, the official newsletter of the Canadian Corkscrew Collectors Club, for several years.
The inn is a beautiful victorian house within a short walking distance from the sea, and the water-front promenade, which is part of the Vancouver experience. Each room has a particular corkscrew theme, which you
can see from the pictures below, and the whole house has stunning stained glass windows depicting... corkscrews of course.
